John C. Bergstrom
John C. Bergstrom is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. He teaches and conducts research related to natural resource, environmental and agricultural topics and issues. As a Christian professor, he is interested in the integration of Biblical teaching on stewardship and our responsibilities as stewards and managers of God’s creation. He lives in Watkinsville GA with his wife and four children and is a member of Faith Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Watkinsville.
Biographical Information
Dr. John Bergstrom is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at The University of Georgia, Athens. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Maryland, M.S. degree from Clemson University, and Ph.D. degree from Texas A&M University. He has been on the faculty at the University of Georgia since 1987 teaching and conducting research in the area of natural resource and environmental economics. His research and teaching is on natural resource valuation and the application of economic values in resource decision-making. He works extensively with federal, state and local agencies and private industry on projects related to examining the benefits and costs of natural resource and environmental management and policy.
