Daniel B Paulsen
Hi, I’m Daniel B. (Dan) Paulsen, professor of Pathobiological Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Louisiana State University and a Veterinary Pathologist by calling.
I received my DVM and MS degrees from Kansas State and after a few years in veterinary practice, I returned to college and obtained my PhD at Oklahoma State. My academic career has been at LSU and Mississippi State. I teach diagnostic, general, cardiovascular, and reproductive pathology.
My research interests are respiratory diseases, animal models of asthma, and infectious neurological disease. I am director of the pathology residency program and director of diagnostic immunohistochemistry.
I’ve been married to my wife, Charlotte, since 1975 and have 3 daughters. I have been active in music ministry for years and currently play bass guitar at our church.
