Following Jesus

Jesus knows.

In the academy revealing too much to others is risky, so we live as icebergs, with only part of our lives visible above the waterline.

Sometimes even our closest friends don’t know our real struggles.

Jesus knows us in our successes and our struggles; He also knows our secrets. All of them. And He wants us to know Him.

Our hope is that these pages offer help from fellow travelers as we:

  • discover more of Jesus and how wonderful He is;
  • allow ourselves to be loved by Someone who knows us so completely;
  • let others know about this love as well.

Rae Mellichamp (Professor Emeritus, Management, Alabama) writes in his book Go Fast, Turn Left:

“For the follower of Jesus, all of life can be summed up in a simple Do List…

1. Seek Jesus
2. Everything else.

The most important activity in the life of a believer is to learn of Jesus, to get to know Him, to cultivate a personal relationship with Him. Everything else is a distant second to the opportunity we have to seek Him and to know Him.”
